| Lucy got Newbury off to a flying start from the kick off when she skipped two tackles and shot from distance and in the wet conditions the ball beat the goalie at the near post. Lauren made it two when she finished off a good passing move with a fine shot, which flew into the top corner. It was three when Kellie tapped in at the far post after the goalie spilled the ball just before half time.
Lucy started the second half as she did the first when a well taken corner which beat everyone to increase the lead to four. Holly showed good strength by holding off two defenders before turning and firing home in one move. Hatchwarren grabbed a consolation goal when their striker caught Newbury short at the back and finished very well. Player of the match Katie who was at the heart of everything rounded off the scoring when she hit a long range shot which the keeper could only stand and watch and putting the home team into the last eight.
