Match Report -- Season 2004-5
Under 12 Girls friendly 11th September 2004
Cold Ash Girls 0 AFC Newbury Girls U12 12
Newbury's warm up to the new season got off to a good start when they played a friendly against local rivals and newly formed team Cold Ash. The new team also included two of Newbury's former players from last season, but there was no love lost when in the first minute, Lucy fired a shot goal wards and it struck Olivia in the face and she was then substituted injured, but pleased to say she did return shortly and ok. Newbury dominated with the home team pinned in their own half and this was soon rewarded when Lucy fired home. Sophie and Ruby both added from close range before Lucy burst through to grab a second just before half time.

More was to come, as Newbury only improved on this in the second half with Lucy scoring from a corner to complete her hat trick. Newbury worked hard to keep control of the game with Lauren, Lucy and Ruby winning most things in midfield.

Newbury dominated and soon scoring again with two more goals each for both Sophie and Ruby who rounded off good moves to complete their hat tricks.

Sophie did not leave it at that and five minutes from time she grabbed another hat trick to complete the rout.
